U12 Bowl – OMP White 5-0 Glen Magic

On a damp Saturday morning, OMP White began their Bowl campaign in style with a commanding 5–0 victory over Glen Magic.

OMP started strongly and went ahead after 10 minutes when David finished calmly. Moments later, James doubled the lead before David struck again to make it 3–0 at the break.

The second half continued in the same fashion. Leo scored the first of his two goals after good play from Kai and Micheal before Cian added another to stretch the advantage. Conor then grabbed his first of the season with a fine finish following excellent work from Micheal and Charlie. Leo rounded off the scoring with his second to seal a comprehensive win.

Jake was rock-solid in goal, while Jack impressed at the back, well supported by Eduardo and Padraig.

A superb all-round team performance and a perfect start to the campaign – well done, boys! 👏

OMP Girls started off slowly in their first Shield game against premier opposition and found the first half tough, going into the break 4–0 down.

In the second half, however, they grew into the game and showed great character. Chloe L grabbed two goals to get OMP on the scoresheet, while Ava came close with two thunderbolt efforts that narrowly missed.

Plenty of positives can be taken from the much-improved second-half performance as the girls look ahead to their next Shield fixture.

The final score was tough on OMP, who more than held their own against higher-division opposition in a thrilling, hard-fought game played in slippery MDL conditions this afternoon.

OMP came flying out of the blocks, pressing high and forcing mistakes. Their efforts were rewarded when Cian struck early to give them the lead, and he almost doubled it moments later, only to be denied by an excellent save. Johnstown hit back quickly with a neat move down the right to level, before edging in front after a scramble in the box.

At half-time the game was finely balanced, and OMP began the second half strongly. Their pressing game continued to cause problems, with Aronas seeing two efforts saved in quick succession and Sean also going close. But as the match wore on, Johnstown’s counter-attacks proved decisive. Three late goals, coupled with injuries to key players Liam and Cian T, saw the scoreline stretch away from OMP.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives. Nathan was outstanding at the back, showing huge improvement once again, while the whole team can take pride in their effort and quality of play.

Plenty of reasons to be encouraged — we go again!

Our U7s took to the pitch against Bohermeen Celtic in what proved to be a spirited and competitive encounter. The game tested us in moments, but the boys responded with energy, teamwork, and plenty of heart.

🙌 With a strong turnout and great numbers, we kept the tempo high and showed real character throughout. Every player contributed to a performance full of effort and determination.

🌟 Players of the Match:
- Danni M was a rock in defence, reading the game superbly and making crucial interventions.
- Josh C stood out for his discipline and tireless work rate, covering ground and setting the tone with his attitude.

👏 A proud showing from the squad—plenty to build on and lots to be excited about as we continue to grow together.

Match Report – OMP U9s

After a month away from action, our future OMP stars were back on the pitch and wasted no time shaking off the cobwebs. The lads burst into the game with great energy, pressing as a unit, working tirelessly, and showing fantastic determination from the first whistle.

Every player gave their all, hunting in packs, chasing every ball, and never giving up. It was a brilliant team performance against a strong Slane side, and the effort and commitment on display was something to be proud of.

As coaches, we couldn’t be any prouder of the lads. Their hard work, team spirit, and never-say-die attitude is great to see. The future is bright for OMP – keep up the great work, lads!

Omp U12 White 7–2 Torro

Omp kept their lead at the top of Division 6 with a strong display against Torro on Saturday morning. They started brightly, with Leo opening the scoring — the first of his goals on the day. Cian added two more and Niall also found the net, giving Omp a commanding lead at the break.

Torro came out fighting in the second half and pulled one back to make it 3–1. Leo struck again to restore the cushion, but Torro replied quickly to make it 4–2. Omp never panicked, kept the ball well, and pushed forward. More excellent play from Micheal, Niall and James set up Leo to finish off his tally, sealing a 7–2 win.

At the back, Jack kept things calm while Kai worked tirelessly in midfield. Charlie, Padraig, David, Conor and Jake all defended superbly, making it a real team performance.

Well done lads — we’re very proud of you all! 👏👏👏

The OMP U9 produced another excellent display against Trim, showing just how much they are developing as a team. From the first whistle, the boys played with confidence, moving the ball well and working hard for each other.

There were strong performances right across the pitch. The midfield worked tirelessly to win possession and link play, while the defence stayed solid and organised, making sure Trim were kept under pressure throughout. Up front, the lads showed great movement and teamwork, creating plenty of attacking opportunities with clever passing and sharp runs.

Every player gave their all, showing the effort and skills they’ve been putting into training. The commitment, teamwork, and determination were clear to see, and OMP can be really proud of their performance.

OMP United played some outstanding football today against a very technical Mullingar side. From the first whistle, our young lads showed great intensity, and it paid off when Seán broke the deadlock with a calm finish past the Mullingar keeper.

Mullingar responded strongly, pressing our back line and pulling one back to level the score. But rather than dropping off, OMP raised the tempo even higher. The goals soon followed, with Oscar, Leo, and Seán adding to the tally.

At the back, Kevinas, John, and Liam put in a tireless shift, standing strong against Mullingar’s attacks. Every player played their part in a brilliant team performance.

Man of the Match: Seán – bagged a superb hat-trick and worked his socks off up front.

A fantastic display from all the lads – well done, and keep up the great work! 👏⚽

U12 OMP Black faced a strong Drogheda Marsh Crescent D5 side at home. Despite carrying a few injuries, the team battled hard and gave everything they had against a hungry opposition. The effort and commitment were clear throughout, and there were some excellent stand-out performances from Nathan, Jake, and Liam.

OMP United U7s vs Torro United – MDL Showdown

OMP United U7s returned to the pitch tonight in a blistering MDL clash against a sharp and well-prepared Torro United side. No signs of rust from either team—just pure intensity from the first whistle!

💥 After a slow start, our lads found their rhythm and grew into the game, putting in a strong second-half shift against top-tier opposition. The effort, resilience, and teamwork were clear to see.

🌟 Standouts on the night included Tommy F, who led by example with outstanding leadership and composure, and Harry K, who showed brilliant discipline and determination in defence.

⚽ Back to training now as we build on tonight’s performance and look ahead to the next challenge. The journey continues—and our Reds are ready!

OMP U12 Girls produced a fantastic all-round performance in an exciting 2-2 draw away to Kentstown. From the first whistle, the girls set the tone with wave after wave of attacking play. Their pressure paid off when Chloe L opened the scoring with a well-taken goal.

Despite OMP’s dominance, Kentstown battled back and found an equaliser against the run of play. OMP responded superbly, regaining the lead through a moment of brilliance – a stunning free kick expertly dispatched by Chloe L for her second of the game.

Kentstown, to their credit, continued to push and managed to level the score once again. The OMP girls showed tremendous spirit and pushed hard in search of a winner, creating several late chances and coming agonisingly close to sealing all three points.

It was a day where every player could be proud of their efforts, with the whole squad contributing to a strong performance. Standout displays came from Anna M and the ever-influential Chloe L, but the Girl of the Match award went to Daisy, who was outstanding throughout.

A superb team effort and plenty of positives to build on for the next game!
