OMP United Reserves 1–1 Fordrew Rovers It just w OMP United Reserves 1–1 Fordrew Rovers

It just wasn't OMP's night, as a host of chances in front of goal went begging.

The first-half performance was below the standards the team has set, and OMP were punished after some sloppy defending gifted Fordrew Rovers the opening goal. Credit to the visitors, who defended well throughout and worked tirelessly to contain OMP's attacks.

The second half was a completely different story, with OMP dominating possession and creating numerous opportunities, particularly from corners, but were unable to make them count.

The breakthrough finally came with 20 minutes remaining when Darragh McGuinness delivered an excellent corner for substitute Sean Fennessey to power home a header and level the match at 1-1.

OMP threw everything at Fordrew in search of a winner, but despite relentless pressure, the decisive goal just wouldn't come.

Man of the Match goes to Conor Dunphy, who produced an outstanding performance from start to finish.

Best of luck to Fordrew Rovers for the remainder of the season.

The Reserves are back in action this Saturday with an away trip to Trim Town.

Finally, a huge thank you to all our supporters who got behind the team on the night. Your encouragement and support are always greatly appreciated.

It just wasn't our night in front of goal, with numerous chances going begging.

Our first-half performance was below our usual standards, but the response after the break was much improved. OMP created several opportunities, particularly from corners, but couldn't find the finishing touch. We fell behind in the first half after some sloppy defending, giving the ball away too easily and allowing Fordrew Rovers to take the lead.

Credit to Fordrew Rovers, who were strong throughout and defended well to contain our attacks.

OMP United welcomed second-placed Ballivor to St. Mary's Park on Sunday afternoon and produced a superb all-round performance to secure a deserved 3–0 victory in Division 3A, extending their unbeaten run.

On a warm, sunny afternoon, OMP controlled proceedings from the first whistle. A dominant midfield display, coupled with disciplined defending, limited the visitors to very few chances as OMP recorded another well-earned clean sheet.

The breakthrough came through Cian Gillespie, who continued his excellent goalscoring form. Ryan Tighe was the creator on both occasions, producing two superb assists for Gillespie's brace.

OMP wrapped up an outstanding team performance when David Connolly finished confidently after excellent work from Ayo to make it 3–0 and put the result beyond doubt against one of the division's promotion contenders.

OMP United made the trip to Baileborough on a bright summer evening for a crucial Division 3A fixture, and what a finish it turned out to be.

The visitors started on the front foot, controlling possession and putting the home side under sustained pressure. Despite OMP's dominance, Baileborough struck against the run of play with a well-taken counter-attacking goal to lead 1-0.

OMP continued to create chances before the break but couldn't find the equaliser.

Four changes at half-time injected fresh energy, and OMP took complete control of the second half. Wave after wave of attacks followed, but determined defending and a touch of bad luck kept the visitors at bay.

The breakthrough finally came in the 80th minute. A slick passing move through the middle ended with Cian Gillespie calmly slotting home after an excellent assist from Graham Hill to make it 1-1.

OMP kept believing, and in deep stoppage time they got their reward. Keith McGibney was brought down 25 yards from goal, earning a free kick in a central position. With virtually the last kick of the match, McGibney stepped up and produced a stunning strike into the top right corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance and sealing a dramatic 2-1 victory.

Goals:

One of the best performances of the season from the girls, who played some outstanding football from start to finish. The link-up play between the defence, midfield, and attack was excellent, with some brilliant passing and movement throughout the game.

The girls took their goals really well, but it was the creativity, teamwork, and execution of their play that stood out most. Every player contributed, making it incredibly difficult to single out an individual for special praise. U12 Division 1: OMP 2–1 Bohermeen On Saturday mor U12 Division 1: OMP 2–1 Bohermeen

On Saturday morning, OMP welcomed Bohermeen to St. Mary's Park for a top-of-the-table clash.

After a cagey opening, both sides created chances. OMP went close through Niall and Leo, but it was the visitors who struck first after 15 minutes to take a 1–0 lead into the break.

OMP came out with real intent in the second half and immediately raised the tempo. Out wide, Eduardo, Micheal, Dara C and Conor worked tirelessly, while Charlie produced an outstanding display in goal. In defence, Dara T, David, Jack and Cian were excellent, working together as a unit to keep Bohermeen's attacking threats at bay.

In midfield, the ever-reliable Kai and Leo controlled the game and created opportunities for Padraig and Niall. OMP's equaliser arrived 10 minutes into the second half when they were awarded a free kick just outside the box. Leo stepped up and fired a superb effort into the bottom corner to level the scores with 20 minutes still to play.

The goal gave OMP all the momentum, and just two minutes later Micheal burst down the wing before delivering a superb cross for Leo, who made no mistake from close range to give OMP a deserved 2–1 lead.

Both teams continued to create chances in an entertaining contest, but OMP held firm to secure all three points in a fantastic game of football.

There were outstanding performances all over the pitch, with a special mention to Charlie for his heroics in goal, Kai for his strength and composure in midfield, and Leo for his match-winning brace.

Well done to all the players on a superb team performance, and best of luck to Bohermeen for the rest of the season. πŸ‘βš½
